Exit 192 synopsis
Nickolas “Nick” Conner, former Navy Seal, is doing his best to reestablish his life after he sustained a severe traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan. His memory functions were so severely damaged that for two years he was unable to lead a normal life. Then, an experimental neurosurgical unit, called the Advanced Neural-Adaptive Research Facility at Shephard Center in Atlanta, performed experimental surgery on Nick’s brain and restored his memory functions. But the procedure left serious vulnerabilities. Walela Bell needs help desperately. Tala, her teenage sister, has been kidnapped and the Texas Rangers Human Trafficking Unit suspects the Serpiente Cartel, but with no trace of her whereabouts, hope of finding her is dismal. Walela knows no one to whom she can turn for help. Then she learns about Nick from her cousin, Noya Swiftwater, who works at Shephard Center. She devises a plan, finds Nick, charms him, and takes advantage of his memory vulnerabilities. But things don’t go as planned… Follow the convoluted and devious tale of how Walela lures Nick into her life, only to become hopelessly entangled in romance and adventure as they begin what will become a daring and explosive hunt for Tala, only to see the tables turn as the cartel comes after them with a deadly vengeance. ©2025 J Graves, Jr.
